The "Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry Training Program" tackles the challenge graduates face transitioning from academic knowledge to practical industry skills. It translates theory into practical application and builds confidence.
On May 9, 2024, the program brought together a vibrant ecosystem under one roof. Huge thanks to Radiance Girl Africa for organizing, UNIMAC Institute of Film and Television for hosting, and Fidelity Bank Ghana & Animators Association of Ghana for sponsoring.
The program wasn't just about learning; it was about connection. Industry professionals, professors, students, investors, and animation enthusiasts came together, all dedicated to fostering the future of animation.
Keynote speaker Karen-Happuch P. Henneh, a leading international animator, shared insights on portfolio building and pitching, from a well curated online portfolio to elevator and formal pitches, equipping students to communicate their creative vision effectively.
The Q&A session buzzed with energy, and the program culminated in a dynamic networking session connecting aspiring animators with established figures in the field.
The training was a resounding success, igniting creativity and equipping students with the knowledge and connections to thrive in the ever evolving animation industry.
